Bruny Bowls Club participates in the interclub Pennants Competition administered by Southern Tasmania Bowls Association (STBA). During the 2016/17 season (October – March) Bruny will compete in Division 2. Results will appear below as the season progresses.

Bruny vs. Kingborough

Bruny defeated Kingborough 12 – 2 (88 to 65 shots)

What a dedicated group of Bowlers we have. Chris had to bowl in a kneeling position because of his bad back. Other bowlers struggled from their sick beds after suffering severe ‘Man Flu’ and Pete was seen limping up and down the green.

Their dedication paid off however. Whilst playing in windy conditions our team won on three rinks giving us enough points to rise to 4th position on the ladder.

Warwick Berry was spotted taking action photos of our players during the game. We look forward to seeing some of them on our web site.

The outstanding effort of the day was the rink of Max, Janice, Pete and Neil who demoralised their opponents with a 22 shot win. Janice must have performed very well going by the comments of the Kingborough players.

The Huon Show was held today which brought back memories of the same day last year when Perch Martyn died during the game against Huonville. That was on the minds of our players during the day. A special gathering of players is to be held on Sunday to commemorate Perch.
