ROUND 11

RESULTS

Bruny vs. New Norfolk (Home)

New Norfolk defeated Bruny 10 - 4 (79 to 76 shots)

Bruny's big chance to increase its position on the Division 2 bowls pennant ladder was thwarted by a determined New Norfolk team who managed a 3 shot win overall in a very unusual game.

Two Bruny rinks won by large margins and two Bruny rinks lost by large margins in a game played in good spirits. New Norfolk avenged their loss to Bruny on their home ground early in the season and as a consequence moved to 5th position on the ladder with a chance to make the finals. Bruny remains on 7th position and must make the most of the 4 home games during the rest of the season to cement itself in being a competitive Division 2 side.

Bruny's best performing rink was that of John Kobylec, Janice Higgins, Warren Jenkins and Leigh Higgins which won by a margin of 18 shots. (pictured with Warren sporting a very unusual growth on his head)
