Bruny vs. Glenorchy Rodman (Home)

Bruny defeated Glenorchy Rodman 14 - 0 (88 to 65 shots)

Bruny defeated Glenorchy/Rodman 14 - 0 ( 88 to 65 shots) Last year in the first game of the season Bruny received an absolute drubbing at the hands of New Norfolk losing 0 - 14 by 70 shots at New Norfolk. This season's first game Bruny had the advantage of a home ground and reversed last year's result gaining wins on all rinks against a strong Glenorchy/Rodman side. Close games were the order of the day with the rink of Jenny Martyn, Angela Little, Janice and Leigh Higgins winning its game with the very last bowl sent down.

The best performing rink of the day was that of Brian Paynter, Graeme Little, Scott Bennett and Neil Jones (Pictured here) who won by the margin of 13 shots.

Next week's Round 2 game on the slower grass green at New Norfolk will give Bruny a chance to win back some credibility after last year's result.

Bruny once again is looking for more players and anyone interested in taking up a very enjoyable game is urged to contact the Club Secretary John Kobylec who may be contacted on 0429 793 912
